Menstruation Irregularities

In society symptoms of PMS symptoms, irregular, painful, are accepted by women monthly.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine menstrual irregularities are conditions reflected in a pattern of imbalance. These patterns of disharmonies can be relieved through the support of Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine and Dietary Therapy.

Typical Menstruation

Last on average 4-6 days with a 26-32 day cycle

Starts off a dark red, transitioning to a deep red and finishing as a bright red color with no clots

Asymptomatic includes no PMS

Some common complains I see in Menstrual Irregularities:

  • Painful periods
  • Absent periods
  • Heavy, prolonged or irregular periods
  • PMS - Premenstrual syndrome : mood swings, anxious, trouble sleeping, bloating, breast tenderness, headaches, spotty skin, change in appetite and sex drive
  • Managing hormonal contraceptives
  • PCOS - Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome : painful - irregular periods, weight gain, hair thinning, acne,
  • Endometriosis: painful bowel movements, painful -irregular periods, nausea, constipation, diarrhea
  • Uterine Fibroids: abdominal fullness, pelvic pain, low back pain, constipation, painful bowel movements

Your body knows what to do. It just needs a signal to help you get to where you want to go.

Together we’ll focus on diagnosing the actual root of your disharmony (often not what you think), manage the branch complaint, re-train the brain-body connection to get results, feel better and get you back to the life you want to live.

" The body is to nature as a violin is to an orchestra. The strings are to a violin as the organs are to the body. For the orchestra to play in harmony all the instruments must be tuned to each other. If a single instrument is out of tune, the whole sound dissonance rather than harmony"
